Good morning 🌞 I need to clear something up today.. A few days ago I posted one of those Instagram trends where people pretend they're preparing for a Netflix special. Mine was called: "All Business Skills Can Be Taught Using Gardening Analogies." You can watch it here. I thought it was OBVIOUSLY a joke. I mean... I'm standing in my garden loooking all messy in my workout leggings, with an incredibly serious face... pretending cameras are following me around... clearly preparing for my Netflix debut. 😂 Then something unexpected happened. Instagram pushed it over to Facebook, and an alarming number of people from high school and years past started reaching out to congratulate me. Not on the joke. On the Netflix special. I got a call from my sister, text messages from half a dozen old friends and celebratory comments from people like...
Like... what? Apparently they thought it was definitely real. 🤣 Which leaves me with two possible conclusions. Either... A) They have absolutely no clue what Instagram trends look like... or... B) They genuinely believe I would create an entire Netflix series explaining business through gardening. Quite frankly... I kind of love Option B. The more I thought about it... the more I realized... they're not entirely wrong. For example, on this week's episode of the Digital Product Blueprint. We're talking about Design. You can do that. But you'll get much better results if you first ask: ☀️ Where does the sun move? 🌿 What do I actually want to grow? 🐝 How will pollinators move through the space? 🌱 Which plants support each other? You design first. Then you plant the seeds. Business works the same way. Before you start creating videos, workbooks, or landing pages... You need to design the outcome you're trying to create.
