Hi friends, Regardless of whether we're currently working together, I'm sharing what's new at KIT (my email service provider of choice) as I think it's helpful info that you should know about! If email marketing is part of your business operation, here's the tea: First - if you're not currently using KIT, or you have a different Email Service provider, this email includes a few of the reasons I believe they are best in class for email marketing. Second - Over 2 decades, I've had an account with literally every single provider and CRM that exists and I continue to test new options as I have clients using a wide range of tools. KIT consistently beats out the others (IMO) for a variety of reasons listed below, which is why I use them to teach and they are the only company I recommend as an affiliate. Third - If you've been thinking about switching but need help, I have a ton of tutorials that make it simple. Please feel free to reach out to me for help. (and if you're a current Foundations member - I am eagerly updating modules on Funnel building where I feature KIT pages as examples to include this) OK - Now here's the exciting updates! 1) New Navigation Menu: Kit is updating the navigation menu to make things WAY easier to find. They based this on thousands of user data points and found that Creators save up to 40% of their time in building emails and managing their list with this new menu. I'll be sending an email with a training to all my current clients using this software later today. 2) Engagement analytics: Updated tracking system takes your reporting from "how did this broadcast do?" to "how is my list actually aging, where are my best subscribers coming from, and what does my audience retention look like over time?" This is the kind of data that changes how you approach every launch because you can actually SEE how your subscribers are moving. Takeaway - knowing your list better equals more dialed in communications which leads to sales. Period. 3) Abandon checkout: This feature lets you show different content to different subscribers based on what they've actually done, starting with abandoned checkouts for Shopify, Fourthwall, and Wix. Personalization, without the manual work. 4) Newsletter Sponsorships: Love to write and want your weekly email to be paid? This feature brings brand sponsorship management directly into Kit, so you can earn from the newsletter you already built. Seriously this is so great for creators who love to share weekly content with their audience. As a solopreneur every income stream counts and sponsorship of your list is a fabulous option! 5) Kit MCP: Simply put, this bridges the connection between KIT and your AI tool of choice. They've been testing this and it's officially out of beta and available on all paid plans. If you've been using AI to try to understand your email business, this closes the loop. WHY THIS MATTERS FOR YOU So many people dismiss their email list as an extra step they take each week but not necessarily as a critical part of their business operations. I believe the opposite. In fact - if you know me, then you already know that I have based my ENTIRE business operation on a weekly email that hasn't skipped a week since 2010. Your email list isn't just a place to send broadcasts. It's the most valuable asset in your creator business, and Kit is investing in making that true at every level. The platform is simple, they are the only company I can get a straight customer service answer from and they've invested a ton in creator tools to make it so you can truly get started running your whole business right there using published newsletter pages, products and fully automate funnels. Like I said, if you want to learn more or chat with me about this, please hit reply. I can share resources or try to answer your more technical questions. And if you're already using it, but want full rundowns on what is changing to better support your business, click here: Emails are still the highest ROI in the online space, beating out paid ads, and organic social media year after year, so getting a solid system for list growth will continue to be a focus I work on with clients. I hope this helps you find ease in the technical aspects of your online system. xo, Deborah PS. Ask me anything and if I can help I will. *This email contains my affiliate link so purchases made using that link may result in residual income. I had a legitimate 'A-ha' moment while recording this week's podcast. (Should it be 'ah-ha'? [makes note: Google it later]) Anyways, remember those Magic Eye fractal posters from the 90s? At first it just looked like a confusing mess of colors. Then suddenly your eyes adjusted and you couldn't unsee the dolphin. It's like when something that requires all parts of your brain to comprehend it suddenly clicks, and it all makes sense. That was me thinking about: basic conversations. Hear me out....
A few years ago, I was at a networking event, balancing a tiny paper plate of cheese and crackers in one hand and extending the other while making the rounds. You know the drill. Someone asked me what I did. I gave my usual answer. Something about coaching. Marketing. Systems. Digital offers. Solopreneurs. They nodded politely, then said: "Okay, but what do you actually DO?" Okay... rude. I clarified. Or at least I thought I did. Then they asked: "Okay... but what problem does that solve?" At...
I'm fresh off my trip to Minneapolis for the Women Getting Visible conference where, despite travel delays in both directions and an unexpected detour into the world's largest veteran motorcycle conference, I had the chance to work with some powerful women! Authors. Coaches. Speakers. Small business owners. All who have built successful careers and helped countless people. That's who was in the room when I asked a series of questions that I knew would make them feel uncomfortable. I'd like to...
