Okay, funny story, Reader. (not the one about getting pushed into a hedge, yet) Several years ago, I was at a networking event and got asked what I do. Simple question, right? One-liner. Instead I took a breath and launched into this whole thing... "Well, I do 1:1 coaching, I build tech systems, and I have a group program, and I'm building a course, and I also do strategy intensives, and I'm considering a membership..." The woman's eyes glazed over somewhere around "group program." Afterwards, I remember thinking: If I can't explain it in person, and I'm a marketing coach, how on earth is anyone getting through my website? The answer is: they weren't. If you've heard my "House of Business" analogy, then you already know: They were lost in the hedges. Wandering around outside my house of business, peeking in windows, trying to figure out what's inside, and which door was the right door for them, and eventually just... leaving. (aka, no sales) Sound familiar? I've been having this exact conversation with many small business owners lately. You're work is great, you've got offers and some clients, you're showing up constantly, posting on every relevant platform, creating scroll-stopping content, and doing everything right. But the sales are just not matching the effort. It feels demoralizing and confusing and yes, exhausting. So I recorded an episode about how to fix it this week (and yes, I explain the 'House of Business'). I'll walk you through exactly why this messy messaging happens → spoiler: it's almost never a content problem, it's a structure problem. I share two real client stories of women who went from scattered and stuck, to focused and selling just by simplifying down to one clear signature offer. One started selling high ticket within 60 days of cleaning it up. Just saying. 🎧 Listen here → Ep. 120 - Your Marketing Feels Messy (Here's A Fix That Changes Everything) And if you listen and you're like "okay yes this is me, where do I start" ... 👉🏻 I made a $7 mini-course called Soul Aligned 6-Figure Systems that walks you through building your own signature offer from scratch. It's four short videos and will probably be the most useful $7 you spend this month. The link is in the episode show notes too, so you can grab both in one click. Go listen and get ready to clean house and trim your hedges. 😄 xo, Deborah P.S. If you know someone who's out there with doors and windows flung open all over their house of business, please forward this to them. It's only $7 and I want this in as many hands as possible. 💛 P.S.S. Unrelated to marketing, I was actually shoved in a hedge once at an event. I'll save that one for another email. 😳 |

Hey Reader, I know, I know → another person telling you to get on LinkedIn. But hear me out, because this week's podcast is a good one. I sat down with Wendy Shore, a LinkedIn Top Voice, business growth strategist, and author of the brand new book Comment Currency, and guess what? She completely flipped my perspective on this platform. I have been on LinkedIn for years and basically using it as a fancy business card. Wendy helped me understand I've been leaving a LOT on the table. Here are 5...
All sales should be as easy as shooting a quick email to your people... But it turns out there's actually strategy involved! I just released a new podcast episode breaking downwhy email lists don’t convert (and what to fix). Here’s the short version: When we first start out, we're focused on getting subscribers… but often we don't take time to build a clear pathfrom subscriber → to buyer. So the list just sits there. Or you send emails…but you don't get any response. And your list starts to...
