Hey Reader, I know, I know → another person telling you to get on LinkedIn. But hear me out, because this week's podcast is a good one. I sat down with Wendy Shore, a LinkedIn Top Voice, business growth strategist, and author of the brand new book Comment Currency, and guess what? She completely flipped my perspective on this platform. I have been on LinkedIn for years and basically using it as a fancy business card. Wendy helped me understand I've been leaving a LOT on the table. Here are 5 key things I learned: 1) You don't need thousands of followers to get clients on LinkedIn. Wendy worked with someone who had 3,000 followers, got one well-targeted post, and booked 3 sales calls from the DMs it generated. 2) Her "Comment Currency" strategy: Spending just 15 minutes a day leaving thoughtful comments on the right posts is one of the most underused growth tools on the platform. LinkedIn even added analytics to track your comment reach now. 3) The algorithm is reading context! So showing up consistently in your zone of genius matters more than ever, especially as AI search changes how clients find you. 4) Your profile is your first impression. Most of us are wasting prime real estate with outdated resume bullets when we should be telling our ideal client why they should choose us. 5) People are watching how you move, even when they're not liking or commenting. The lurkers are your future buyers. We also got into AI, authenticity, building a leadership voice in public, the newsletter feature, networking without being salesy, and Wendy's exciting news about her fresh TEDx talk. I walked away from this conversation with a full page of notes and a renewed commitment to actually show up on LinkedIn and I think you will too. Listen to Episode #119 — Comment Currency with Wendy Shore Find Wendy at wendyshore.co and connect with us both on LinkedIn. As always, thank you for being on this journey with me. With love and momentum, Deborah P.S. I'll be working on my own LinkedIn strategy publicly, so if you want to follow along (and hold me accountable), you'll know where to find me. 👀 |

Okay, funny story, Reader. (not the one about getting pushed into a hedge, yet) Several years ago, I was at a networking event and got asked what I do. Simple question, right? One-liner. Instead I took a breath and launched into this whole thing... "Well, I do 1:1 coaching, I build tech systems, and I have a group program, and I'm building a course, and I also do strategy intensives, and I'm considering a membership..." The woman's eyes glazed over somewhere around "group program."...
All sales should be as easy as shooting a quick email to your people... But it turns out there's actually strategy involved! I just released a new podcast episode breaking downwhy email lists don’t convert (and what to fix). Here’s the short version: When we first start out, we're focused on getting subscribers… but often we don't take time to build a clear pathfrom subscriber → to buyer. So the list just sits there. Or you send emails…but you don't get any response. And your list starts to...
